GLOBAL CHAT WILL BE REMOVED ON THE NEXT CLASH OF CLANS UPDATE

Hello Clashers! Today Supercell announced the Global Chat will be removed on the next Clash of Clans update. The use of the Global Chat has been declining for a while and it is not important as it used to be, but this is sad news for the game as the Global Chat still is the best way recruit members to our clans and interact with other clashers.
Over the years there were many efforts from the Clash team to filter the Global Chat trying to transform it on a clean and healthy environment, but unfortunately it came to a point where it was no longer possible to be fixed. So they are removing it. For good.
To make recruitment easier without the Global Chat we will get an improved Clan recruitment tool, but we don't have any information of how this is going to work right now. Other Supercell games (Brawl Stars and Boom Beach) suggests clans (Teams / Task Forces) based on your stats and location, so we might get something similar on Clash of Clans.
This is the official statement from the Clash team:
We have some very important news we would like to share about the direction the team is taking with regards to social interaction in Clash of Clans.
In the next update, we are going to be removing the Global Chat channel from the game.
When we created the Global Chat channel, our goal was to create a central hub of social interaction that engages Clashers from around the world to interact with each other.
While this was a noble endeavor, unfortunately reality taught us a lesson. Over the years, we found ourselves putting no short amount of resources into policing Global chat with the help of dedicated Support and Anti-Fraud agents as well as implementing spam detection and trying different mechanics to shield players from offensive or inappropriate communications that have no place in Clash of Clans.
One of the main functions that Global Chat provides is a channel for Clans to find new recruits. This has been one of the main obstacles preventing the Clash team from removing Global Chat; without an improved Clan recruitment tool, Global Chat remained the primary method for players to find a new Clan outside of social media channels or the official forums. In the next update, we will be improving the Clan recruitment functionality, making it easier than ever for Clans to find new members and for players to find Clans that best suit their play style.
While we’re sad to see Global Chat go, we feel we can better dedicate the resources allocated to policing Global Chat towards improving the Clash of Clans experience for our players.

"Call of Duty" comes to mobile

"Call Of Duty" comes to mobile on october 1st

Get ready to compete in Team Deathmatch or play Battle Royale on your smartphone. Activision announced today that Call of Duty: Mobile will be released on Android and iOS devices on October 1st. The game, developed by Tencent's Timi Studio, will be free-to-play and be available in all countries that Google Play and the App Store are supported.

The game will combine elements from other titles in the franchise, like Black Ops and Modern Warfare. "We are delivering the definitive, first-person action experience on mobile with signature Call of Duty gameplay in the palms of your hands," said Chris Plummer, VP, Mobile at Activision, in a statement. "We are bringing together some of the best the franchise has to offer, including Modern Warfare maps like Crash and Crossfire, Black Ops maps like Nuketown and Hijacked, and many more, into one epic title."

The mobile game also includes a special Battle Royale mode that supports up to 100 players on a huge, entirely new open map. You can play in either solo, duo or quad-player competitions across land, sea and air with vehicles including an ATV, helicopter and raft. You can choose between first or third-person and pick one of six classes.

The mobile game will be a likely relief for Call of Duty fans, after a sudden change in this year's release schedule led to doubts that a free game would happen at all. Players nostalgic for the classic Call of Duty elements will appreciate older modes like Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy and Free-For-All. And fans of mobile games who are unfamiliar with the cherished franchise now have a free opportunity to experiment.

How play station consoles changed the gaming world

How PSP changed the gaming world:

The original PlayStation hit stores in December 1994 and changed the gaming world with revolutionary graphics, engrossing gameplay and complex virtual worlds that served as a rival to Nintendo.

Twenty years ago, a small grey box of electronic tricks made its debut in Japan, heralding the birth of the global gaming phenomenon that has changed the entertainment landscape, launching titles that now outstrip sales from Hollywood’s biggest franchises.

The original PlayStation, which hit stores in early December 1994, brought revolutionary graphics, engrossing gameplay and the kind of complex
virtual worlds that had only previously been available in an arcade.

The launch was Sony’s first foray into computer games and pitted the company against the established giant of the sector, Nintendo, whose character-driven two-dimensional offerings like Super Mario had wowed children.
But unlike the 16-bit cartridges that powered the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Sony’s PlayStation opted for cheap-to-produce CD-ROMs, a technology that allowed vast tracts of data to be stored.
The discs’ convenience and powerful graphics in the original 32-bit machines lured game developers and players into a world where, suddenly, 3-D was in reach. And it wasn’t just the insides of the machines that Sony had reimagined; they shunned the plain rectangle controllers of the SNES in favour of an ergonomic device that sat neatly in a player’s hands. Titles such as Tomb RaiderGran Turismo and Final Fantasy spurred console sales and launched what became multi-billion dollar franchises.
Global blockbusters like Grand Theft Auto joined the PlayStation world, as well as other platforms. The latest instalment took a US$ 1billion (Dh3.67 bn) in its first three days of sales, overshadowing huge cinematic hits.
In March 2000, PlayStation 2 burst onto the market, leveraging the mega-capacity of DVDs before the format was standard storage.
The company shifted around 150 million units worldwide, and the PS2 remains the best-selling console of all time.
Although addicts got a handheld PSP in 2004, it would be another six years until the main console got an update with the PS3, a Blu-ray equipped and Internet-ready device that allowed gamers in different continents to play against each other. Where gaming had once been largely a solitary activity, there was now a global community.
Unlike the ever-contracting windows of release for mobile phones and tablets, gaming consoles have retained their strung-out lives, with engineers packing as much hardware and spare capacity into them.
“In every generation, Sony has tried to bring an innovation in its machines to make the difference,” says Laurent Michaud, head of consumer electronics and digital entertainment practice at Digiworld Institute / IDATE.
Acolytes had to wait until 2013 for the PS4, an ultra-powerful machine with 4,000 times the memory of the original and processing capacity larger by orders of magnitude.
The 13.5 million units Sony has sold in the last year allow users to play games straight from the Cloud in a universe that now includes compatible smartphones, televisions and tablets.
Sony is also introducing a cable-style television service in the United States delivered through PlayStation3 and 4 consoles, called PlayStation Vue. And to mark the 20th anniversary, Sony is releasing a special, limited edition PS4 in the original grey, which will be offered to 12,300 fans worldwide.
